A/Prof Giuseppe (Peppe) Sasso

A/Prof Sasso is an experienced radiation oncologist with a high volume and patient-centred private and public practice in Auckland and Dunedin.  
He is specialised in the treatment of genito-urinary, head & neck and breast cancers with advanced and highly precise radiotherapy techniques.
Peppe has extensive experience in Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) and has pioneered its adoption in New Zealand for treatment of prostate cancer and early-metastatic malignancies (oligo-metastases).
Dr Sasso is an internationally renowned expert in the treatment of prostate cancer with CyberKnife.

Specialist Experience
Dr Sasso is a Fellow of the Faculty of Radiation Oncology of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR).
Prior to moving to New Zealand, he has worked in internationally state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer centres in Milan, United Kingdom, Paris, Australia and Johns Hopkins Medicine International.  
He is the past Clinical Director of the Radiation Oncology Department at Auckland City Hospital and the former Chairman of the Radiation Oncology Working Group at the New Zealand Ministry of Health.
He is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences of the University of Auckland; and Honorary Academic at the Radium Institute of the University of Brescia (Italy).
